Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
½ cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper, to taste
Vegetable oil, for frying
Tonkatsu sauce, for serving
Freshly chopped parsley, for garnish
Steps
1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness, around ½ inch.
2. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off any excess.
4. Dip the chicken in beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.
5. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
6. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, approximately 4-5 minutes per side.
7. Transfer the chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
8. Slice the chicken into strips and serve hot with Tonkatsu sauce.
9. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
